Herbal Ingredients of Bu Fei Tang

Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng, Ginseng Root)

- 9g. -tonify Qi, aids wei Qi

Huang Qi (Radix Astragali Membranaceus, Milk-vetch Root, Astragalus)

- 24g. -tonify Qi, aids wei Qi

Shu Di Huang (Rehmanniae Glutinosae Conquitae, Rehmannia)

- 24g. -tonify lower jiao and benefits essence

Wu Wei Zi (Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis, Schisandra Fruit)

- 6g. -aids kidneys in grasping lung Qi

Zi Wan (Radix Asteris Tatarici, Purple Aster Root, Aster)

- 9g. -moistens lungs, stops cough

Sang Bai Pi (Cortex Mori Albae Radicis, Mulberry Root Bark, Morus Bark)

- 12g. -brings lung Qi downwards promoting downward function

Cooking Preparation of Bu Fei Tang
This natural medicine Herbal formula can substitute Dang Shen (Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae) for Ren Shen (Ginseng Root) with an increase of 2 -3 times the normal dosage of Ren Shen.

Additional Information on Bu Fei Tang
Bu Fei Tang is a modification of Sheng Mai San (Generate the Pulse Powder) and is useful in treating chronic coughs which show the above presentation. If there is lung Qi deficiency with excessive sweating Yu Ping Feng San (Jade Windscreen Powder) should also be considered for it's stop sweating properties.
