Main Action of Da Zao Wan
The functions of this Chinese Herbal formula are to tonify the kidneys, enrich the yin while draining heat and anchoring yang Qi. Zi He Che (Placenta Hominis, Human Placenta)

Su Jiu Gui Ban (Deep Fried Plastrum Testudinis, Fresh Water Turtle Shell, Ventral)

- 60g. -nourish kidney yin, anchors yang Qi

Huang Bai (Cortex Phellodendri, Amur Cork Tree Bark, Phellodendron

- 45g. -controls and regulates hyperactive yang Qi

Du Zhong (Cortex Eucommiae Ulmoidis, Eucommia Bark)

- 45g. -nourish kidney yin

Cooking Preparation of Da Zao Wan
When preparing this Chinese Herbal formula one should grind all Herbal ingredients into a fine powder and form ingredients into pills with honey. The usual dosage is 9 -12g taken each morning.

This Chinese medicine Herbal formula is able to treat both the root and the manifestations of this disorder. It is most suitable for problems which occur after child birth. Da Zao Wan is a modification of the formula Da Bu Yin Wan (Great Tonify the Yin Pill) but is less nourishing and focuses more on bringing down the deficiency fire. Da Zao Wan focuses more on tonifying the yin fluids and blood as well as nourishing the lung yin.
