The treatment of Childrens health problems (also known as Paediatrics) is one of the oldest specialties within Traditional Chinese Medicine.

A general rule for administering the proper dosage can be found below:

~ 1 year old Child herbal formula dosage - 1/10th of adult dosage
~ 2-3 year old Child herbal formula dosage - 1/4 of adult dosage
~ 3-6 year old Child herbal formula dosage - 1/3 of adult dosage
~ 10 year old Child herbal formula dosage - 1/2 of adult dosage

note - the severity of the disease will also play deciding role when prescribing dosages for children, the more severe the symptoms the dosage can be increased. A doctor of Chinese medicine should be consulted.
