Zao Xin Tu (Terra Flava Usta)

- 18g. -warms middle jiao, harmonize stomach, stop bleeding

Sheng Di Huang (Radix Rehmanniae Glutinosae, Chinese Foxglove Root, Rehmannia)

- 9g. -nourish yin and blood, stop bleeding

E Jiao (Gelatinum Corii Asini, Ass -hide Glue, Gelatin)

- 9g. -nourish yin and blood, stop bleeding

Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractyloids Macrocephaelae, White Atractylodes Rhizome)

- 9g. -warm yang, tonify spleen, aids middle jiao Qi to govern blood

Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Licorice Root)

- 9g. -harmonize middle jiao and other herbs within formula

Fu Zi (Radix Lateralis Aconiti Carmichaeli, Szechuan Aconite Root, Aconite)

- 9g. -warm yang, tonify spleen, aids middle jiao Qi to govern blood

Huang Qin (Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis, Baical Skullcap Root, Scutellaria, Scute)

- 9g. -prevents heat from developing in the interior due to the use of warm herbs

Cooking Preparation of Huang Tu Tang
This natural chinese medicine formula should be decocted by first Cooking Zao Xin Tu (Terra Flaca Usta) for 30-40 minutes before adding the other Herbal ingredients. Zao Xin Tu is used in generally higher dosages by today's practitioners (30 -60g) or is substituted with Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Rubrum) using an increase of dosage of 3 -4 times the original amount.
