Liver and Gallbladder Disorders

The liver and Gallbladder have a very different role in Traditional Chinese Medicine than it does in Western Medicine. The Liver in Chinese Medicine is the main organ which governs proper Qi circulation throughout the body. It also has a variety of other functions like storing blood and ensuring smooth emotional wellbeing.   In Western medicine, the liver is the organ which produces bile and stores this bile in the gallbladder. It also stores glycogen and is involved in protein synthesis. One of the most notable things the liver is known for is it's drug detoxification functions.

This is one of the most common organs to be "detoxed" in dietary therapy.

The following are natural ways of treating various liver and gallbladder disorders using traditional Chinese medicine.
