Ma Huang (Herba Ephedrae, Ephedra Stem, Ma -huang)

- 6g. -releases the exterior, dispels external cold

Fu Zi (Radix Lateralis Aconiti, Carmichaeli, Szechuan Aconite Root, Aconite)

- 9g. -aids Yang Qi, warms both interior and exterior channels, expels pathogenic cold

Xi Xin (Herba Cum Radice Asari, Chinese Wild Ginger, Asarum)

- 6g. -release exterior, disperses interior cold

Cooking Preparation of Ma Huang Xi Xin Fu Zi Tang
This chinese medicine Herbal formula should be devided into it's separate herbs before decocting. Ma Huang should first be decocted in 10 cups of water till 8 cups remain and remove any froth covering the top of the decoction. All other ingredients should then be added and boiled down till 3 cups reMain. Then strain the decoction and break into 3 separate dosages of 1 cup each. Each dosage should be taken warm and all 3 should be taken throughout the day.
