Herbal Ingredients of San Miao Wan

Huang Bai (Cortex Phellodendri, Amur Cork -tree Bark, Phellodendron)

- 9 -12g. -drains damp heat in the lower jiao

Cang Zhu (Rhizome Atractyloids, Atractylodes (black) Rhizome)

- 6 -9g. -dries dampness

Niu Xi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, Achyranthes Root)

- 60g. -brings all herb functions downwards to alleviate lower extremity symptoms

Cooking Preparation of San Miao Wan
This formula should be ground into a fine powder and formed into pills with flour. Each dosage should be approximately 70 tiny pills on an empty stomach with ginger juice or salted water. It is prepared as a decoction today with a reduced dosage.
