Herbal Ingredients of Sheng Ma Ge Gen Tang

Sheng Ma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae, Bugbane Rhizome, Cimicifuga)

- 3 -6g. -disperse wind in the stomach channel, raises clear yang, vents rashes

Ge Gen (Radix Puerariae, Kudzu Root, Pueraria)

- 3 -9g. -disperse superficial levels of the body, unblocks pores, aids venting the rash

Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Licorice Root)

- 3g. -tonify Qi, relieve toxicity, clears heat, vents rash

Chi Shao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubrae, Red Peony Root)

- 6 -9g. -cools blood, relieves toxicity from interior blood heat

 

Cooking Preparation of Sheng Ma Ge Gen Tang
Grind all ingredients into a powder each with an equal amount. Take each dose in a 12 gram amount and do not cook for more than 20 minutes. Gan Cao is commonly substituted for Zhi Gan Cao for it's stronger detoxifying properties.
