Herbal Ingredients of Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang
Ren Shen (Radix Ginseng, Ginseng Root)
- 3g. -Warm, sweet, bitter, tonify original qi, lung qi, generates fluids, heart qi
Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractyloids Macrocephaelae, Atractylodes (white) Rhizome)
- 6g. -Bitter, sweet, warm, tonify spleen qi, wei qi, dry dampness, calm fetus
Fu Ling (Sclerotium Poriae Cocos, China -root, Poria, Hoelen)
- 6g. -Sweet, neutral, drains damp, tonify spleen, calms spirit (heart)
Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Licorice Root)
- 2.1g. -Harmonize Herbal formulas, moisten lung, tonify spleen/stomach
Chen Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Tangerine Peel Citrus)
- 2.4g. -Pungent, bitter, warm, regulate stomach qi, invigorate spleen qi, dry damp and phlegm
Ban Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae Tematae, Pinellia Rhizome)
- 3g. -Pungent, bitter, warm, dry damp, transform cold phlegm, harmonize stomach
Sha Ren (Fructus Amomi, Grains of Paradise Fruit, Cardamon)
- 2.4g. -Pungent, warm, transform dampness, strengthen spleen, harmonize stomach
Mu Xiang (Radix Aucklandiae Lappae, Costus Root, Saussurea, Aucklandia)
- 2.1g. -Pungent bitter, warm, promote qi movement, alleviate stomach/abdominal pain, strengthen spleen

today 2-3 times the amount of dang shen is substituted for Ren Shen.
