Chao Pu Huang (Dry Fried Pollen Typhae, Cattail Pollen, Bulrush)

Today this Herbal formula is generally taken as a prepared decoction with only one -quarter of the specified dosage listed above.

This Herbal formula is a modification of Dao Chi San (Guide Out the Red Powder) who's main functions are to drain fire and cool the blood to stop bleeding while alleviate painful urinary symptoms. Wu Lin San (Five Ingredient Powder) is also used to treat bloody painful urination but is generally used for more severe heat conditions than that of Xiao Ji Yin Zi. When the appropriate symptoms are present this chinese medicine formula is able to treat such disorders as urinary tract infection (UTI), renal calculi, renal tuberculosis, polycystic kidneys, renal cysts, sickle cell disease, hydronephrosis and benign prostatic hypertrophy.
