Hua Shi (Talcum, Talcum)

Xi Jiao (Cornu Rhinoceri, Rhinoceros Horn)

Ling Yang Jiao (Cornu Antelopis)

Cooking Preparation of Zi Xue Dan
When preparing this natural chinese medicine formula one should crush all mineral ingredients into small pieces and boil them in water three times before adding the other Herbal ingredients.

When the other ingredients are added boil another 3 times until a syrup has been produced. Mix the powdered Mang Xiao and Xiao Shi into this syrup and dry the concoction. Powder the dried concoction and add the powdered horns and the Zhu Sha and She Xiang to the powder. Sift all the powders together to produce the final formula. Gold is commonly omitted from this decoction by today's practitioners. Each dose of this Herbal formula is approximately 1.5-3 grams taken 2 times daily with cool water after meals.
