- 6 -60g. -nourish kidney yin
ShanYao (Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae, Chinese Yam, Dioscorea)
- 6g. -nourish yin, tonify spleen
Gou Qi Zi (Fructus Lycii, Chinese Wolfberry Fruit, Lycium)
- 6g. -nourish liver blood
Fu Ling (Sclerotium Poriae Cocos, China Root, Poria, Hoelen)
- 6g. -tonify spleen Qi
Shan Zhu Yu (Fructus Corni Officinalis, Asiatic Comelian Cherry Fruit, Cornus)
- 3 -6g. -nourish liver blood
Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis, Honey Fried Licorice Root)
- 3g. -tonify spleen Qi
Cooking Preparation of Zuo Gui Yin
When preparing this natural Herbal formula the dosage of Shu Di Huang can be changed for the desired strength of the formula. By today's practitioners a larger dosage of Shu Di Huang is usually used.
Additional Information on Zuo Gui Yin
This is a variation of the TCM formula Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Six Ingredient Pill with Rehmannia), they both tonify liver and kidney but Zou Gui Yin is used more for tonifying and less for draining deficiency fire.
