This Herbal formula is generally used when there is heat in the heart channel (related to the small intestine) which gives rise to the above symptoms and a scorched throat with severe thirst, irritability, red eyes, painful eyes and parched lips. Other symptoms alleviated from this formula are mouth and tongue sores (heart heat) and nose bleeds.
