Latin Name: Amomi Kravanh, Fructus

Bai Dou Kou Also known as: White Cardamon Seed, Bai Dou Kou, Cardamon, Cardomomi Fructus. Elettaria cardamomum, synonym Amomum cardamomum.

Properties: PUNGENT - WARM, AROMATIC

Dosage: 3 - 6g.

Also Used For: Orally, cardamom is used for dyspepsia, intestinal spasm, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), common cold, cough, bronchitis, inflammation of the mouth and pharynx, liver and gallbladder complaints, loss of appetite, and tendency toward infection. It is also used as an antiflatulent and laxative. Food uses, cardamom is consumed as a spice in many parts of the world.
